The Garden Organization (often referred to as the Garden Network) is an organization that employs SeeD, a mercenary force dedicated to protecting the world from a Sorceress Threat.
Purpose
Besides the main goal of defeating sorceresses who threaten the world, the Garden Organization offers the highest level of education available in the world. Each Garden facility has different specialties in which students can choose to specialize in for those who choose to further the already extensive education they receive. Upon meeting the requirements for graduation, students are offered the chance to join SeeD.
History
Founded in 2139 by Cid Kramer, with support from a wealthy businessman from the Shumi Village, the stated purpose of Garden was to have a standing force ready to protect the world from a Sorceress threat, wherever it would come from.
While difficult at first, Balamb Garden became a home to children who had been displaced by the long war between Federated Commonwealth of Esthar and the Galbadian Republic, and within a year of Balamb Garden's opening, the Galbadian Republic funded the build on Galbadia Garden in 2140. While Balamb Garden's specialty was Guardian Force studies, Galbadia's contract with the Network forced Galbadia Garden to focus on very little beyond firearms. Candidates were interviewed, and finally Mathius Martine was put in charge of Galbadia Garden as its Garden Master.
One year later, based on the success of both Gardens and the increasing number of contracts both were taking, a third Garden was built in the Trabian Aristocracy. Focusing primarily on para-magic research, it was by far the smallest of the organization. Again candidates were interviewed, this time by Cid Kramer, NORG, and Mathius Martine. They finally picked a promising alchemist from the Trabian region, Victoria Elena Rosalyn.
Around the same time, the Dauntless was built as a home to the White SeeD which protected high priority targets that couldn't be protected at the main Garden facilities. The leader, Trent Dougherty showed promising leadership abilities, with a strong and quick tactical mind.
