Quincy are a race of outer plane beings in the Clouded Horizons series' Eighth Realm.

History

Quincy are the sole race of denizens in the Eighth Realm's Soul Plane, and are unique in that they are the beings which all other beings become after death. All entities, whether the weakest Hume or the strongest Erudite, are reborn as Quincy in the Soul Plane after death with memories and all other aspects of their previous form intact, though they must first find the will to reconstitute their bodies. This can take varying amounts of time, from hours to years, but all beings eventually regain their form and enter the plane itself. Quincy, just like other beings, have great variation in their levels of power, but generally are somewhere between the level of power of an average Hume and an average Malakh.
