This page lists information on the class system of the Clouded Horizons series' Eighth Realm.

Overview

The class system within the Eighth Realm shares similarities with other job systems such as Final Fantasy Tactics; a character will begin with a single Base Class, and then proceed to gain more classes and the ability to upgrade to more powerful classes in the form of Extended or Transcendence Classes by gaining levels in the required classes. For example, say that a character begins as a level 1 Black Mage. By gaining levels in the Black Mage class until they reach level 50, they can then take another class in order to upgrade to an Extended Class - taking 50 levels of Mesmer allows them to attain the Balancer class. Once they achieve that class, then they can upgrade it further by attaining level 100 in that class, as well as the Elemental Alchemist class (which, itself, requires two Base Classes at level 50), in order to unlock the Archmage Transcendence Class. The full array of achieved classes would look like this:

• Archmage, Level 1
  • Balancer, Level 100
    • Black Mage, Level 50
    • Mesmer, Level 50
  • Elemental Alchemist, Level 100
    • Alchemist, Level 50
    • Red Mage, Level 50

In this way, characters gradually accrue more power depending on the professions that they study and train in within the realm.
