A young woman, born in the harsher regions of Northern Trabia in the town of Boulterge, Avril Devereaux lived in poverty. Her parents gave her their unbridled love and affection, and everything of what little they had. Unfortunately, they soon realized that without assistance, the impoverished life they lived would not allow them to support both themselves, and their daughter. With heavy hearts, they left their daughter on the doorstep of Trabia Garden's (at the time) Headmaster, Victoria Rosalyn. She was barely two.

Garden, while not the most apt environment to raise a child, Rosalyn took the girl in as her own.
