Headmaster
The Headmaster is responsible for maintaining political contacts, overseeing that Garden operations are carried out, and approving/declining contracts, among other things. The Headmaster serves a term of no more than 8 years, but can be re-elected indefinitely.
Liam Bayloh
- Active
Liam's largest change to then-Galbadia Garden was to convert the previous rankings, which had mirrored the Republic of Galbadia's miltary forces, to match the rest of the Garden Network. He expedited a contract with Esthar to transfer his Garden to their territory, while still keeping the tenuous peace with Galbadia.
Mathius Martine
- Deactivated
During his term in office as Headmaster (previously called Garden Master), Mathius Martine single-handedly created the system that Galbadia Garden functioned under. He also improved relations with Galbadia for a time, at the cost of many contracts in the area and strained relations with the rest of the Network and its command staff.
Sentry Commandant
The Sentry Commandant directs and oversees the day-to-day trappings of SeeD training and operations. Often an instructor or a department head, the SeeD Commander is elected based upon diplomatic skill, administrative capability, and military judgment, and serves for 4 years, but can be re-elected indefinitely.
Seifer Almasy
- Active
A surprise election by Liam Bayloh as Esthar Garden had not previously had an officer assigned to the position, Seifer has used his knowledge of SeeD and the specifications of Esthar Garden to heighten security at home. In addition, he has heightened the training regimens of all cadets passing through Esthar Garden. While not liked by many, he has come to gain a great deal of respect because of his acumen for the position he was chosen for.
Other Staff
Alexander Munro
- Active
Originally a SeeD, then-Headmaster Martine brought Munro in to design the Night Rider Special Operations Division of Esthar Garden. A level headed commander, he sees the strengths in his squad and in the other two squads of the Night Riders and has the ability to not only see what each officer currently is, but see what they have the potential to become.
- The Night Riders are Esthar Garden's Special Operations forces. Made up of three squads with six members each, each team is filled with highly trained special operatives capable of finishing a mission considered too dangerous for the average SeeD member to attempt. As is similar in Balamb, the Night Rider lead officer is also in charge of Alpha Squad. These squads receive their orders directly from the Sentry Commandant at Esthar, bypassing the normal mission guidelines. Because of this, they are able to be deployed on the fly; much faster than a normal SeeD squad.
Celes Chére
- Active
Celes Chere was put in charge of the Combat division at Esthar Garden after Liam Bayloh assumed command.
Jeanette Devereaux
- Active
Jeanette Devereaux was put in charge of the Medical division at Esthar Garden after Liam Bayloh assumed command.
Trabia Garden
Trabia Garden maintains a large base of students and staff, with multiple branches and fields within its hierarchy known as the Republic of the Sphere. This power structure is then broken down into a sphere of specialized individuals, acting as a counterbalance to the Garden Headmaster and the Garden SeeD Commander, which prevents either one from wielding more influence than the other excepting in specific circumstance.
Headmaster
The Headmaster is responsible for maintaining political contacts, overseeing that Garden operations are carried out, and approving/declining contracts, among other things. The Headmaster serves a term of no more than 8 years, but can be re-elected indefinitely.
- Active
As of yet, she hasn't instituted any new reforms but she is a respected and talented individual. It is expected that the skill that allows her to be an effective Majority Leader will make her an excellent Headmaster.
- Deactivated
During his term in office as Headmaster, The Senior brought in a number of changes as he redesigned both Garden infrastructure and policy. Notably, he has greatly improved the range of SeeD operations, working in concert with the other two Gardens on occasion. He was incarcerated, however, when the House War against Deling came to light.
Victoria Rosalyn
- Deactivated
During her term as Headmaster, she paved the way for Trabia Garden to become specialists in the field of magic manipulation, mandating its understanding and use as part of the core curriculum - even the most combat-focused SeeD are required to know rudimentary curative and combat spells. She was in the process of expanding the general education program when she was killed during the missile crisis that destroyed most of Trabia Garden.
Sentry Commandant
The Sentry Commandant directs and oversees the day-to-day trappings of SeeD training and operations. Often an instructor or a department head, the Sentry Commandant is chosen based upon diplomatic skill, administrative capability, and military judgment. They typically serve for 4 years, but can request extensions, which must be approved by the headmaster.
- Active
A well-liked and well-known individual, Ein has proved himself to be, on numerous occasions, an able administrator and knowledgeable programmer. Having taken everything he's learned during his time at Garden and absorbing it like a sponge, he's proven himself an extremely valuable asset in recent events and was hand-picked and specifically groomed by Katanas to assume the role of SeeD Sentry Commandant.
- Deactivated
A talented individual, Katanas has served as the SeeD Commander for four years. During his tenure, he has enhanced the effectiveness of the SeeD program at large, made several key discoveries in Alchemy, and broadened the scope and jurisdiction of Trabia. He resigned his commission when Erasmus informed him that he was to be the next Overlord of the Nether Plane.
Republic of the Sphere
The General of the Sphere is the director of military instruction and is responsible for overseeing large-scale military campaigns. This post is held for life, but trials-of-position can be held by challengers who believe themselves more capable.
General of the Sphere
- Active
Albel Nox spent a large portion of his life as a mercenary and is no slouch when it comes to combat. He is responsible for the excellent state of the command staff and constantly holds everyone he is accountable for (and many that he isn't) to his exacting level of competence.
Paladins of the Sphere
The Paladins of the Sphere are directly responsible for setting the training regime of SeeD forces, as well as assigning the unit rosters. Only four may serve at a time, and each is responsible for a military program, such as the Special Operations (SpecOps) program, or the Red Knight Infantry. Rumor speaks of a 5th Paladin, a Ghost Paladin, who serves and advises the SeeD Commander only.
Anita Drake
- Active
The youngest of the four Paladins, her cheerful demeanor, enhanced by her ambitions and sharp perception, has allowed her to take her program to the top of the food chain. No other nation in the world, excluding Esthar, can match the superior tactics or technology employed by the White Knight Airship Fleet.
- Composed up of several airship carriers, most notably the Garden's flagship, the Durandal, is the White Knight Airship Fleet. Supporting the core group are multiple flights of single and duo-manned fighter craft, broken down into Interceptor, Bomber, Support, and Defense-class craft. Although only once, against Sin, was the entire fleet mobilized (with terrifying efficiency), various sorties and standoff encounters have been reported against Galbadian fighters. Only three of those encounters have been Trabian losses, with no fatalities listed on either side.
Camdus Marché
- Active
A gentleman at heart, an insurmountable force on the battlefield, Camdus was hired into his rank during the rebuilding of Trabia Garden due to his former status as a member of Galbadia Garden's Night Riders. He takes his time to get to know each and every single member under his command branch, which can number in the low-thousands, which has greatly endeared him to his troops.
- The Red Knight Infantry is the largest branch of Trabia's military force. A four-unit SeeD squad, including its ranking officer (typically a Commander), is the basis for most missions. When larger forces are required, multiple squads are organized into a division, led by a Captain, who issues orders to each Commander. In exceptionally large-scale combat situations, multiple divisions are then assigned to a Knight of the Sphere, who issue orders given to them by their ranking Paladin of the Sphere.
Ellie Night
- Active
A senior member of the Garden staff, she worked her way up through the SeeD ranks before becoming a Paladin. It was her vision and guidance that put Trabia Garden's SpecOps program, Delta Squad, on par with its sister Gardens. Although she rarely is able to participate on missions due to her high rank, when she is able to, she and her team often achieve astounding results - and under her command, Delta Squad gets nothing but the best gear. No fatalities have ever been reported from this branch.
- Delta Squad is the Special Operations branch of Trabia Garden, led in the field by Dealen Tormin. They are sent out on missions that are too dangerous for even normal SeeD officials to handle, or when the need for absolute secrecy is unparalleled. Under the command of both Tormin and Night, Delta Squad has achieved a remarkable mission success rate, placing the revamped program on par with those of Balamb and Esthar Garden's own Special Operations divisions.
Onimaru Balthas
- Active
Aggressive and highly militant, Onimaru is often underestimated due to his insistence that a military campaign is the best way to achieve an end - but Garden hired no fools in its command staff. Behind the visage of a brute lies a coolly calculating mind, one which has found critical flaws in enemy formations to be exploited, often turning the tide of a battle.
- The Blue Knight Heavy Cavalry is the mechanized, mobile assault branch of the Trabian armed forces. It is built around multiple types of medium-armor tanks, APC's, and ranged, mobilized artillery pieces, and is on-par, technologically speaking, with Galbadia's own mechanized forces. However, in terms of size or training, it has neither the student body nor the field experience to compare.
Knights of the Sphere
The Knights of the Sphere are directly responsible for relaying information between Division leaders and the Paladins of the Sphere. Up to eleven may serve at a time, and each is given command of their own handpicked squad. Each Knight is chosen by the SeeD Commander and serves until a new Garden SeeD Commander is elected.
