Personnel Information

Biography

Uriko Kurabasa was born in Deling City to Sayaka Kurabasa, Sakura Kurabasa's sister, and Simon Myers, a Galbadian native. Her surroundings were a middle-class family and a city atmosphere, unlike her two cousins, Tetsuya and Yuki Kurabasa. As she grew up, the bloodline talent of the Kurabasa family began to show in her as she developed a close affinity to the Fire element. She would spend most of her younger years training day and night, using the development of her skills in combat as an escape from the city that she hated. Along with the development of her powers, Uriko's attitude grew increasingly worse from living in the Galbadian city, and she eventually left the city in October 2151 to escape the hated atmosphere of the Galbadian territory.

Taking a ship to the Trabian region, she set out towards the city of Esthar in the hopes of finding a change of atmosphere, but met up with Naoki Ishida and Sumiko Remiere along the way. After speaking with the two for some time and realizing that she had nothing better to do with her time, she asked to travel with them and perhaps find something to occupy her time and her life with. They agreed, and Uriko set out with the two across the Trabian and Estharian regions, exploring the land. She never ended up in Esthar, but instead found herself at Trabia Garden two years later, and decided along with Naoki and Sumiko to enter SeeD training, seeing it as a potential calling and a chance to improve her skills.

Personality

Uriko is prone to fits of anger and loves a good fight, more so than either Tetsuya or Yuki. She also has a running vendetta of sorts with Tetsuya, for reasons known only to the two of them. Care must be taken when engaging Uriko in combat, as she is completely unpredictable. However, her temper can be taken advantage of.

Combat Information

Uriko's primary skills are all about fire. Whether it's blasting balls of fire at her enemies, leaving trails of flame along the ground, or even calling fiery meteors from the sky, Uriko loves to watch as her opponents are simply burned into cinders. Since joining SeeD, however, Uriko has branched out into other types of magic, but still prefers direct-attack and damaging magic over status-inflicting or disabling techniques.
