Shuyin Mishima is a native of the city of Zanarkand in the world of Spira in the Clouded Horizons series.
Personnel Information
Biography
Shuyin was a famous blitzball player from Zanarkand, a futuristic city that was once located near Mount Gagazet. However, Shuyin and his girlfriend Lenne Kaibara were killed under the catacombs of Bevelle after he tried to activate the machina weapon known as Vegnagun to quell the fighting between Bevelle and Zanarkand. His spirit lived on for a thousand years, gaining nothing but hatred and anger at his murderers, and eventually all of Spira.
A thousand years later, Shuyin attempted his plan once again, with a different goal in mind: the destruction of all life on Spira, using Vegnagun to accomplish this aim. Thankfully, his plan was stopped by Yuna, Rikku, Paine, and Ben, along with Lenne's spirit, who finally convinced him to fade away along with her. Shortly after, Shuyin and Lenne were revived by the fayth as a favor to Ben, and they agreed to travel with the Gullwings after a conversation with the boy.
Personality
Shuyin, unlike his 'twin' Tidus, has a very calm and methodical personality. He has little patience for stupidity and aggravation, however, which has caused occasional altercations with other members of SeeD.
Combat Information
Shuyin's fighting style is ruthless, using his superior agility and strength to give his opponents no chance to react, and no mercy in battle. He makes for a formidable opponent in combat, and even more formidable when underestimated or when the odds are against him.
